Been working with computers since 1975. As an Electrical Engineer I have learned about and been involved with the fundamental technologies that have made the internet possible.
It funny that it has been the Savage that has gotten me to appreciate some of the new social implications of the technology. I have found it 'neat' to be involved with these exchanges between the US and Europe.
It is scary that I check in each day to hear what the latest chat topic is. I just got back from a 2 day vacation with the kids at Schlitterbahn (a water amusement park) in New Braunfels TX (big German population settled in the hill country north of San Antonio). Anyway I checked in with my e-mail at work and now I'm checking in with you.
Tomorrow I have another day off and I think it will be my chance to spend the afternoon with the bike on the back roads.
Just fascinated by the question and the responses... (good topic)
As you probably know, I think Houston roads with typical speeds of 75mph are a potential death trap.
